Plans For Cher Ferroggiaro and I

Since we began as friends and are now married as friends, Cher and I share many of the ideals and pursuits we had prior to getting married. So many wonderful events have happened in the few short months we have been married. Actually, we will have our 1st anniversary August 30, 2009.

I will provide a brief time-line to bring you up to date.

After we were married, the next morning was a blur, she had to return to her home by plane at 8am. and I didn't leave until 2pm in the afternoon to return to my home. The Emmy Awards were coming up two weeks after we got married and Emerging Magazine had space in a gifting suite. Therefore, we could not be together as preparations were being made for the event.

However, Cher and I spent countless hours on the phone, often falling asleep with our phones beside our ears, listening to the other breathe. That was so nice and comforting although the miles separated us and we hadn't even had a honeymoon.

The Emmy Gifting Suite took alot of my time and I called Cher when I had a moment to rest. That evening after the event was over, I attended an art show in Beverly Hills and called Cher to tell her I missed her and to let her know she was loved. Being the understanding person Cher is, she knew that business had to have its time as well.

I was then kidnapped by a husband and wife team of Honduran doctors, but that is another story! However, it ended quite nicely with a birthday celebration in Malibu with everyone suggesting I get home to my wife... who gets married and departs almost immediately after the marriage ceremony anyway?! Hmm... between our career choices and lives, this seemed normal!

We finally joined together again in November, just in time to celebrate our first Thanksgiving as husband and wife. Cher and I shared the cooking and enjoyed the time we had together. During the next few months we enjoyed shooting photographs of winter scenery.

During those winter months we discussed our future and what we wanted to do next. Cher and I both have a passion for helping others. We pondered helping others by giving them employment during the recession. Pulling our resources together we opened a new company in March. We hired 5 new employees and by May we had hired 5 more. During the course of growing the business and entering into a new contract, we met a guy whose aspirations were similar to our own.

Cher and I discussed opening another company to employ others in two of America's largest industries. We decided this would be the next move for us. We sat down with our new friend and presented the plan. We settled the deal with a handshake, just as we did with the previous contract negotiation. Yes, there are still Gentlemen whom believe a handshake is as good as anything on paper. A man's word is a man's bond right?

So you might be thinking, "How can these two individuals do so much and still find time to write love letters, poetry and give love to each other?" Good question, it takes alot of determination and to stay focused on each other and the reason you both fell in love in the first place. Oh... and getting about four hours of sleep a day!

Cher is amazing, she has given her support and still has the ability to smile through the changes, advancements, careers, employee relations and love the man she chose to spend her life with.

I am so appreciative of her, her devotion, her drive, determination and willingness to go the next mile head-on. We spend so much time together,we have become inseparable. Most couples we have come across welcome time away from each other. Cher makes loving fun and we discover something new about each other seemingly every day.

So what is next? Next month we set out for Seattle, the beautiful city of Seattle, Washington. Where we will enjoy taking pictures, visiting Mount Rainier, sampling the smoked salmon and taking in the beautiful views of the city from the Spaceneedle, and quite possibly steal a kiss or three from the observation deck.Seattle's skyline, waterfronts, mountain ranges, especially the year-round snow-capped Mount Rainier culminate to awaken the artistic senses and awe the self with splendor and majesty.

Then we will drive down to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, one of diversity and acceptance... San Francisco, California our home, no matter where we may travel. We will spend some time with friends, photograph the points of interest and then make our way to Beverly Hills, California for the 2009 Emmy Awards gifting suites. This will be Cher's first year to attend and be part of the event. She is excited! From a photographer and writers standpoint that is.

After the three days there, we will head to North Carolina to stay and shoot photos at a friend's lakehouse, before arriving in Virgina Beach to open a new office and our new business. Final destination, New York City to do an interview and photoshoot with a Fashion maven.

Surely our love will grow even more and we will have a lifetime of experiences to share!

I love my wife and best friend, Cher.
