I Called Incessantly and She Answered

From the edge of San Francisco where the sea meets the shore, I sought her. I spent many days here when I needed to feel her or to press my emotions to the breeze. I wrote of her here from time to time. More often than not, I wrote more words upon my heart and left them on the boulder rising from the sea.

I loved her before she ever knew, because of incidences in my own life, I never told her how I felt, merely danced in her shadows. We became the very best of friends over a two-year period. We spoke over the phone quite often; sharing stories, acting like complete fools and laughing until we cried. Our antics, similar... extraordinarily similar.

When it came time to release my emotions, it was too late... she had found love in a distant land. I vowed to always remain her best friend and support her lest she fall. We continued to speak often on the phone, and we both understood that we would remain the best of friends and I had to learn to smother the flame... This is when the Rock and I became to know each other. I learned much not only about my feelings, but also about the character of the Rock, (I have since named the "Writer's Stone") a discovery that proffered me more understanding than I could have gained from another mortal. Seems that inanimate objects can teach more about ourselves than we learn in a lifetime.

Cher and I have now married, the details between the time I sought refuge on the Rock and our marriage have no strength here, therefore I will refrain from providing explanation, let's just say that from the beginning of time, Cher and I have been Twin Souls and when the stars are right (Scorpio-Capricorn) the only thing that will ever matter is that we needed time to find our way back to each in this present lifetime.

Now her Eastern Shore calls me home, I must leave my beloved City by the Bay in order to take into my arms my beloved wife, Cher. I have gained not only an extraordinary wife and best friend, but an equally extraordinary new daughter, Sara.

I am spending the next few days saying goodbye to this beautiful city. The first place I had to visit was the Writer's Stone amid the ocean. I swam here to write and call unto the East so many times. As I wrote the following letter. I preferred to look upon the majestic boulder from a distance, just to take in all that happened here. This is what I wrote:

From the cliff, just to the side of the Cliff House, I look upon the place of dreams and of hopes to come. The locals call these boulders rising from the sea, "The Seal's Rock", but since I encountered it, I have called it the Writer's Stone.

Today as I look over the sea and toward the Stone, I feel two separate emotions, one of utter joy and the other of sadness. The sadness is not a depth of sadness one would feel at the loss of a loved one, but rather that of saying, "goodbye" to an old familiar friend. You know you will see other again, only you don't know exactly when.

The joy I am feeling is an immeasurable, unspeakable kind of emotion.

Emerging Magazine Founder Stefan du Bois Sponsors $25,000 Hole In One for Charity

Stefan du Bois firmly supports charitable organizations and causes effecting children and abused animals. Mr. du Bois has often sponsored or produced celebrity charity events during major music, television and film award weekend events. Emerging Magazine is the tool used most often to generate interest both public and privately.

Long-time business associates and friends have called upon Emerging Magazine's chairman to assist with fundraising, promotion or event production to benefit worthy causes in cities across the United States, most recently; San Francisco, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale and New York.

Emerging Magazine sponsored a $25,000 hole-in-one cash giveaway to benefit the Humane Society of Broward County. Golfer, Ken Larsen and 3 of his team members won the prize during the Big Dog Men's Golf Tournament held April 8, 2013 at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. Organizers raised over $47,000 during its inaugural annual event.

Ken Larsen won the $25,000 cash prize after sinking the 182 yard hole-in-one shot on the 12th green. Mr. Larsen admitted to Mr. du Bois "I have played golf for 52 years and have never hit a hole-in-one."

Tournament players, Humane Society personnel and other onlookers applauded the successful shot, a few began leaping with joy. Mr. Larsen witnessed the gleeful party and their excitement, yet had no idea he had made the hole-in-one.

Mr. Larsen and three members of his tournament team donated $5,000 of their winnings to the Humane Society of Broward County. On hand to congratulate the winner was actor, Said Faraj (Green Zone), a friend of Mr. du Bois and celebrity guest, whose appearance was also sponsored by Emerging Magazine.

"We are offering a $1,000,000 hole-in-one grand prize for next year's event," Stefan du Bois announced in an effort to raise additional funds for the charity. "We are thrilled to be a small part of this wonderful cause," he continued.

Stefan du Bois's dedication to animal and children causes originated from his own love for animals growing up and his personal experiences with his sibling. His sister was born with birth deficiencies as a result of the then prescribed drug, Thalidomide. During the late 1950's and early 1960's, the drug was prescribed by doctors to pregnant women in their first trimester to alleviate morning sickness and reduce nausea.

Cher and I Appreciate FCMG Manufacturing, the producers of Tru Blood and Their Help

It is that time of year again, The Emmy Awards. Of all of the charity events we work on together to produce, this is among our favorites. The opportunity to work toward something that benefits others is our love.

This year we are helping to raise funds for Shining Star Kids of America during Emerging Magazine's 2010 Pre-Emmy Celebrity Luxury Party and Fashion Show.

So many wonderful people are coming together to benefit the charity chosen as this year's recipient. International Superstar, Romina Arena, Virgil Gibson, former lead singer for the original, Platters are among others joining in to bring their talent into the hearts of those attending the two-day event.

From the artists to the fashion designers coming together to help raise funds for the charity, we are humbled. Tiffany, has been so instrumental in helping pull together so many wonderful people. We appreciate her diligence and hard work. Catherine, thank you for bringing Romina and Virgil into our lives. Both are wonderful, humorous and demonstrate amazing talent. Jeff, thanks for assisting on the technical side. Your are worth your weight in gold. Everyone working together with us, you are appreciated and we are grateful for your assistance, understanding and your efforts.

We want to extend a special thank you to FCMG Manufacturing for their support for the event. Here is a plug for their team and generosity:

Emerging Magazine is proud to announce Tru Blood, HBO’s official Tru Blood drink produced by FMCG Manufacturing is a Supporting Sponsor of Emerging Magazine's 2010 Pre-Emmy Celebrity Luxury Party & Fashion Show.

The generous sponsor is also donating items for the silent auction to raise funds for Shining Star Kids of America.

Supporting Sponsor, FMCG Manufacturing will be giving away bottles of Tru Blood during the two-day celebrity charity event. Release the vampire within you and remember, Friends Don't Let Friends Drink Friends." Give them Tru Blood instead! The official drink of the HBO hit series, True Blood.

This inimitable beverage is pulled from the veins of the hit HBO series True Blood. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the show takes place in the not-too-distant future, when vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood by a Japanese conglomerate (Tru Blood) that means vampires no longer need humans as a nutritional source.

The Blood Orange flavor is slightly tart and lightly sweet, drinking cleanly and crisply with the subtle liveliness of carbonation.

Designed to taste great while matching the appearance of the product in the show, the drink pours like a regular soda, but the standing appearance in a glass is dense and opaque.

Thank you Tru Blood!

Cher and I will be visiting friends during our travels to LA, then it is on to our heart's home... Beautiful San Francisco. New Orleans will be home for a few days when we return from San Francisco. So many exciting things we are involved in there! However, we aren't going to tell just what is, keeping it a mystery and to ourselves at this point.

Then it is back home for a few days, before we hit the road again! Cher is truly amazing and I am grateful to have such a wonderful woman by my side.

Okay, that is all for now! Bon temps roulez!

The Breath of Your Heart

In moments of silent, your breath softly whispers across my pores. Feeling its heat searing your song into my soul. Never a sweeping of hands across the face of time do I not know your breath is true.

Time is ours, the world belongs to you and I. Tomorrow is in the far distance, holding within its grasp all that is beautiful. You breath ever constant will carry us there.

Life Is Better As A Team

Cher and I as most of you already are aware, enjoy every moment we have together. Laughter comes easy, even during those moments when conducting business should be; as considered by others, more serious. However, we choose not to meet the status quo, but to exceed it!

Just as we thought we may be busy enough, something came along yesterday that squashed those thoughts. Not that our calendar isn't full enough already, however there seems to be room for something else.

With the Emmy Awards gifting suite nearing, certainly we are busy preparing for that event, another event is proposed to Emerging Magazine, the 29th Annual Chabad Telethon, September 13, 2009. I mentioned the proposal to Cher, her response, "How cool? let's do it!" Naturally, we jumped on it right away and began the usual promotional efforts.

Here is some of the details: Emerging Magazine sponsors will have the rare opportunity to have their products given away during the Telethon to callers donating $100 or more to the charity. The product and the telethon will be seen by 20 Million viewers during the six hour live broadcast. It is akin to our sponsors getting a mini-commercial 4 to 5 times during the event... Free!
I'll just post the link here for you to check out for yourself, Click Here.

Cher and I share the same passion for charitable causes and promoting those we believe in. This is one of those causes we will support. When it comes to helping others in need, we want to be somewhere in the thick of it all.

This event has given us another reason to smile and to feel joy. I was fortunate enough to get a few hugs after I announced we would get involved. That alone is worth it all.

I truly love my wife and best friend, she is amazing, kind and sweet. I feel a new poem coming on, she just moves me that way.

Cher, I love you. There are no words created in the known universe that can come close to explaining just how much I love you.

Plans For Cher Ferroggiaro and I

Since we began as friends and are now married as friends, Cher and I share many of the ideals and pursuits we had prior to getting married. So many wonderful events have happened in the few short months we have been married. Actually, we will have our 1st anniversary August 30, 2009.

I will provide a brief time-line to bring you up to date.

After we were married, the next morning was a blur, she had to return to her home by plane at 8am. and I didn't leave until 2pm in the afternoon to return to my home. The Emmy Awards were coming up two weeks after we got married and Emerging Magazine had space in a gifting suite. Therefore, we could not be together as preparations were being made for the event.

However, Cher and I spent countless hours on the phone, often falling asleep with our phones beside our ears, listening to the other breathe. That was so nice and comforting although the miles separated us and we hadn't even had a honeymoon.

The Emmy Gifting Suite took alot of my time and I called Cher when I had a moment to rest. That evening after the event was over, I attended an art show in Beverly Hills and called Cher to tell her I missed her and to let her know she was loved. Being the understanding person Cher is, she knew that business had to have its time as well.

I was then kidnapped by a husband and wife team of Honduran doctors, but that is another story! However, it ended quite nicely with a birthday celebration in Malibu with everyone suggesting I get home to my wife... who gets married and departs almost immediately after the marriage ceremony anyway?! Hmm... between our career choices and lives, this seemed normal!

We finally joined together again in November, just in time to celebrate our first Thanksgiving as husband and wife. Cher and I shared the cooking and enjoyed the time we had together. During the next few months we enjoyed shooting photographs of winter scenery.

During those winter months we discussed our future and what we wanted to do next. Cher and I both have a passion for helping others. We pondered helping others by giving them employment during the recession. Pulling our resources together we opened a new company in March. We hired 5 new employees and by May we had hired 5 more. During the course of growing the business and entering into a new contract, we met a guy whose aspirations were similar to our own.

Cher and I discussed opening another company to employ others in two of America's largest industries. We decided this would be the next move for us. We sat down with our new friend and presented the plan. We settled the deal with a handshake, just as we did with the previous contract negotiation. Yes, there are still Gentlemen whom believe a handshake is as good as anything on paper. A man's word is a man's bond right?

So you might be thinking, "How can these two individuals do so much and still find time to write love letters, poetry and give love to each other?" Good question, it takes alot of determination and to stay focused on each other and the reason you both fell in love in the first place. Oh... and getting about four hours of sleep a day!

Cher is amazing, she has given her support and still has the ability to smile through the changes, advancements, careers, employee relations and love the man she chose to spend her life with.

I am so appreciative of her, her devotion, her drive, determination and willingness to go the next mile head-on. We spend so much time together,we have become inseparable. Most couples we have come across welcome time away from each other. Cher makes loving fun and we discover something new about each other seemingly every day.

So what is next? Next month we set out for Seattle, the beautiful city of Seattle, Washington. Where we will enjoy taking pictures, visiting Mount Rainier, sampling the smoked salmon and taking in the beautiful views of the city from the Spaceneedle, and quite possibly steal a kiss or three from the observation deck.Seattle's skyline, waterfronts, mountain ranges, especially the year-round snow-capped Mount Rainier culminate to awaken the artistic senses and awe the self with splendor and majesty.

Then we will drive down to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, one of diversity and acceptance... San Francisco, California our home, no matter where we may travel. We will spend some time with friends, photograph the points of interest and then make our way to Beverly Hills, California for the 2009 Emmy Awards gifting suites. This will be Cher's first year to attend and be part of the event. She is excited! From a photographer and writers standpoint that is.

After the three days there, we will head to North Carolina to stay and shoot photos at a friend's lakehouse, before arriving in Virgina Beach to open a new office and our new business. Final destination, New York City to do an interview and photoshoot with a Fashion maven.

Surely our love will grow even more and we will have a lifetime of experiences to share!

I love my wife and best friend, Cher.
